About

Ph. Camilo Cárdenas

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the University of Massachusetts and a researcher at CoreWoman.

My research agenda lies in two branches of social justice: I study the privilege from elites’ backgrounds and the unequal access of social groupings to clean air, political rights, education, and credit.

I am on the 2023-2024 job Market

I earned an MA in economics from the University of Massachusetts, a BA and an MA in economics from the Universidad de los Andes, and a BA in economics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Besides teaching, I have worked as a private consultant and government officer.

In 2023, I received a PERI Dissertation Scholarship, and in 2018 a Fulbright-Colciencias Scholarship for graduate Studies.
